I'm J. Rycheal, a Black, queer writer, filmmaker, sound healer, and ancestral medium. The pandemic in 2020 upended everything in my life. With the external world in chaos, I turned inward, searching for answers within myself. That journey of self-discovery changed me and my reality significantly.

Prodigal Sun is a living archive of that transformation. It chronicles my experience as a recovering people-pleasing workaholic who chose a less-traveled path to find peace, safety, purpose, and freedom.
